Namibia Corruption Perception Index

Namibia scored 51 points out of 100 on the 2020 Corruption Perceptions Index reported by Transparency International. Corruption Index in Namibia averaged 48.73 Points from 1998 until 2019, reaching an all time high of 57 Points in 2002 and a record low of 41 Points in 2004.

Public Notice

1. The National Anti-Corruption Strategy and Action Plan 2016 - 2019 set to be reviewed this year;

2. Prophet Jackson Babi and Another suspects on 29/6/2020 charged with contravention of section 35(2)(a) and section 46(b)  of the Anti-Corruption Act, Act No. 8 of 2003. They remain in custody.

3. Cabinet at its 8th decision making meeting, approved, in principle, the Anti-Corruption Amendment Bill, 2020;

4. Cabinet further referred the AC Bill to CCL for scrutiny, before it's tabling in the National Assembly;

5. Namibia to join the rest of the world in commemorating International Anti-Corruption Day ''9th December 2020"
